David Stevenson

David Stevenson is an experienced software developer and consultant with a career in technology spanning almost 30 years. After starting out programming on IBM AS/400s, he quickly moved on to designing and writing a wide variety of systems in Java, working in the business integration, life and pensions, meteorology and defence sectors, picking up a multitude of languages, frameworks and technologies along the way.

The theme continues outside of the regular day job, as he spends a lot of his spare time supporting two local charities (Appledore Book Festival and Torridge Pilot Gig Club, both of which he is a Trustee) with their technology needs, as well as helping friends, family and local businesses.

When he’s not being a total geek, David enjoys messing about on the local estuary, messing about with quirky French cars, messing about in the garden and walking his two dogs on the beach.
